About GK furnish

GK furnish is a furniture workshop in Mbeya, Tanzania, making chairs, tables, beds and lamps by hand.

Our story

GK furnish started from a simple problem: students needed furniture that was strong enough to last, small enough for a hostel room and cheap enough to actually afford. Most of what was available was either flimsy or priced for offices. So we began building the pieces students kept asking for — a proper study table, a chair you can sit in for hours, a bed frame that survives moving rooms.

Everything we sell is made in our own workshop, by hand, from local timber. That means we can change a size, a finish or a colour for you without starting from scratch — and it means we can stand behind what we make.

Mission

To make durable, well-made furniture that students and young households in Tanzania can genuinely afford.

Vision

To be the furniture workshop people in our region recommend first — for honest prices and work that lasts.

What we stand by

Honest work

Real timber, real joints. We don't hide shortcuts inside the frame.

Fair pricing

We quote clearly before we build, and the price we agree is the price you pay.

Made for you

Sizes, colours and finishes change from customer to customer. That's normal here.

Local craft

Made in Mbeya by people who do this work every day.

Who we build for

University students furnishing a hostel room, young adults setting up a first home, families replacing worn furniture, and anyone who needs a piece built to a specific size.
